Working Wonders

Eangee Home Design's mission is to provide eco-friendly, fair-trade home goods. They focus on unique designs that are a collaboration of experience and the creative minds of the artisans with whom they work.

Their products are eco-friendly being composed of renewable and/or recycled materials with food-based dyes and low-impact finishes. They believe in and support fair trade practices. All employees of the producer groups have access to a dignified working environment, living wages, healthcare, continuing education, and quality housing. 

By providing quality goods in this manner, they hope to outfit people’s homes with sustainable products that they love while supporting artisans worldwide.

Eangee's handcrafted lighting is made from real cocoa, banyan, jackfruit, and alibangbang leaves as well as other sustainable material.

For their indoor lamps, Eangee recommends light bulbs based on heat, not by light output. They recommend using either compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs or LED bulbs. These will provide the same amount of light but use less wattage and produce less heat as compared to a standard incandescent bulb. The lower heat will help ensure the longevity of the lamp.

If you use an incandescent bulb, they suggest a maximum of 40 watts. 

If cleaning is required for Eangee lamps, Eangee recommends using a dry cloth or duster. They do not suggest liquid cleaners. 
They do not recommend placing your lamp in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

Eangee's outdoor lighting features a built-in outdoor, LED lighting system designed to last 15+ years. Each bulb produces 800 lumens of light which is similar to a 60-watt bulb. Designed to get wet, it’s perfect for a patio or porch. Each bulb produces 800 lumens of light (similar to a 60-watt bulb) at a color temperature of 3000K. The lamp should be brought inside when temperatures are below freezing. Do not submerge the lamp or electrical in water and contact the manufacturer if the bulb is compromised.

Accessories

Since their wholesale debut, they continuously search for accessory items that complement their collection They have discovered a wide variety of materials including driftwood and various recycled metals that are transformed into works of art by the talented artisans they work with. Eangee's decorative accessories include hand-painted metal wall art, driftwood bowls and other sustainable home decor products. Check individual pieces but in general, many of the handcrafted metal art items are outdoor safe.

Furniture

In 2013, they launched their Furniture department with a few unique occasional tables. They have since expanded the line by introducing more tables, room dividers and other products that meet their sustainability requirements.
